The Fredericton Media Commons is powered by ccHost from the Creative Commons Foundation. ccHost has a number of features for both artists and their audiences.

  • Host audio files in several popular formates (MP3, OGG, FLAC, etc...)
  • Host video files in several popular formates (Windows Media, Quicktime, Real, Flash, etc... )
  • Share audio and voice samples, and search and sort with respect to bit rate
  • Publish their work under a Creative Commons license. The main benefits being: allowing the artists to maintain ownership of their own work, and give artists a level of control over how their works are used.

For audiences, ccHost offers the ability to:

  • Find, download, and rate music, samples, and videos
